Hello, my name is Mahlet, and I am a mentor here at Polygence. I am currently in medical school but actually got my undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After finishing my undergraduate degree, I spent some time in education, working in an under-resourced elementary school before I eventually found my way back to academia as a student. Having been on both sides of the mentor-mentee relationship, I love helping students learn more about what they are passionate about and how to achieve their goals. I often joke that my personality is 90% coffee because of how much I love it. When I'm not in school, I am desperately trying to keep my house plants from dying, searching for yummy recipes to cook, and, of course, coffee shop hopping.Project ideas
