This project will explore the optimization of timing of energy sales from residential solar panels back to the power grid using modern deep learning techniques, with the goal of maximizing profit for homeowners by strategically selling excess energy during periods of peak pricing. By furthering the economic viability of solar panels, this project could contribute to wider adoption of the technology, thereby promoting energy independence and economic growth in various regions, including developing countries. The potential scalability of this price-optimization model, from tiny rooftop arrays to sprawling solar farms, makes it applicable to a range of solar energy systems, offering a tool for more efficient clean energy management.
