Abstract or project description

This paper is about analyzing how levels of broad US presence influence the ways that the US’s allies (ie. Saudi Arabia and Israel) act accordingly during times of tension and unrest. The paper will examine different types of US presence (i.e direct vs perception, in global councils and diplomatic settings, strength/ existence of trade agreements, and financial backing from Congress). The paper will critically evaluate the differences in how Saudi Arabia and Israel react to regional tensions based on the strength of their relationship with the US. This paper aims to provide a critical evaluation of the impact of this US relationship on the socio-economic outcomes for the general region during times of regional differences. The paper should clearly show how the US can positively or negatively influence the outcomes for different countries involved in the differences/ unrest.
