How do Republican and Democratic Politicians frame inequality on social media, and how does it impact the issue-salience of voters?

Started Mar. 25, 2024

Abstract or project description

Are there differences in what Democratic and Republican candidates post on social media? If so, is inequality one of them? How do voters respond to the posts? As we head into a U.S Presidential election in the most polarized political climate than ever before, this article investigates how US politicians have framed the topic of inequality on social media, and the impact posed on voters. This paper aims to explore the impacts of political discourse on various social media platforms, such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, and whether it is has impacted the issue salience of voters in the United States.
