What are the current gene therapies and how can next generation treatments target genetic diseases in the context of ethics?
Started Feb. 29, 2024
Abstract or project description
The paper will first contain an abstract with an overview of the article's information. In the introduction, there will be a focus on the development of CRISPR and other forms of gene therapy throughout history and where it originated from. The main body of the paper will be split into different sections; it will have a brief section on past gene therapies, then it will focus on CRIPSR and it's applications, and finally it will look at next gen techniques. It will transition into a discussion section where it will be slightly more casual, and in this section there will be a more philosophical and ethical take on biotechnology and the before discussed treatments. Future directions will be the last subject of the paper and it will be a mix of hypothetical and real technologies.
