Using OpenMC to model nuclear physics experiments

Abstract or project description

We will use OpenMC to model how fission and fusion reactors work. There are many open source models online on both types of nuclear reactors, and we will utilize these to conduct our own modeling and simulation efforts. The goal of this project is to vary the material choice and decide the most optimal materials for the nuclear reactors. The final output will be to write a research paper on the project, summarizing the results.
