Abstract or project description
This paper looks at potential reasons for a failed Australian automobile industry, applying context of a comparison with the Japanese automobile industry when needed. The Australian car industry would ultimately fail and cease to exist in modern day, with General Motors Australia finally pulling out their last factory in 2017. However, for Japan, while there was a major panic for a time, the industry ultimately made a quick recovery after the embargo lifted, and subsequently resulted in higher expansion globally than ever before. Ultimately, the question is multifaceted with direct parts ranging from federal policy changes, a drastic difference in natural resources.
