Abstract or project description
Socioeconomic status significantly influences individuals' food choices, shaping their diets and ultimately affecting their health and that of future generations. People with higher socioeconomic status often have greater access to a variety of healthy food options, whereas those with lower socioeconomic status may face financial constraints that limit their choices to less nutritious, more affordable options. These dietary disparities contribute to differences in nutritional intake, which can lead to varying health outcomes across different socioeconomic groups. In this review, we will examine how individuals from different socioeconomic backgrounds perceive food, their consumption patterns among various available options, and the resulting impacts on health and disease. By understanding these dynamics, we aim to highlight the importance of addressing socioeconomic factors in nutritional interventions to improve public health outcomes.
