Correlation Between Health Outcomes and Environmental or Demographic Variables

Abstract or project description

Shreya has collected county or state-level data on demographic variables such as income, environmental pollutants such as ozone, and health outcomes such as asthma. Shreya will test for correlation between these variables (i.e., is higher income correlated with a less polluted environment? Her data will be visualized with county-level maps and she will use linear regression or other models to model her data. She will also assess if these variables are causative of one another or are merely correlated based upon her literature review.
