Constraining Observables in Neutron Stars with Varying Equations Of State

Abstract or project description
We work on encompassing the existing work on equations of state of neutron stars from existing literature and establishing the groundwork with mass-radius curves which are used to find the corresponding maximum mass with minimum radius across the EOSs. We use SLy, WFF1, H7, BBB2 and the APR 4 EOS and primarily focus on the properties of SLy. Using the results from MR curves, we calculate and in the process, set maximum bounds on the spin of a NS and also on the energy loss rate as calculated assuming dipolar radiation from a NS with misaligned magnetic and rotation axes purely due to its rotational kinetic energy. We then proceed to discuss the reasons for the observed properties, that is nucleon-nucleon interaction and introduce more calculations and compare with observed data from various databases.
