How can different types of gene therapy assist in the treatment of breast cancer in adult patients?

Abstract or project description

Gene therapy is a method of attempting to treat disease by editing genes in the body. There are several different approaches to gene therapy, including a distinction between gene addition and gene editing, and there are also different methods of introducing the genetic material, and different ways of introducing the genetic material (ex vivo, in vivo, in situ). Gene therapy is still a new concept, and it is being applied to various diseases. Here, I review different existing applications of gene therapy to breast cancer in adults through animal models and how effective they are, as well as possible directions for future research. (remember to add context and pick one category of therapy: just nonviral??)
