The Brain and Isolation: an Review of Neural Time
Started Feb. 22, 2024
Abstract or project description
Objective: This exploration is relevant to the expansion of neuroscience as it can help solve the ever-expanding “brain time” dilemma, and help us learn more about the time frame for developing neural and mental conditions, as well as treatment time frames for brain-related diseases and health issues. Furthermore, without a sense of time everyday tasks become hard, as well as time management. Thus, understanding how your brain measures time can help assist in understanding how we may better use and understand time through our day-to-day lives. Given the brain's ability to process time has strong ties to memory ability, understanding time perception may further allow us to understand memory processes. Using this, the project will del into time perception in children VS adults, specifically studying times of brain plasticity to explore developmental patterns. using this we can see if time perception is inherent ( acquired at birth by children ), or learned as a habit required to manage out day to day lives and tasks.
