Abstract or project description

This research aims to investigate the varying factors that have a role in dance injury, along with coping mechanisms used by dancers to navigate mental health challenges associated with injuries. Additionally, it seeks to explore more cultural factors contributing to this culture and their impact on dancers’ mental well-being. This study will involve surveys and interviews with samples of dancers, focusing on subjective experiences, coping strategies, and cultural influences. The approach used could include both quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. The qualitative data could include basic facts about the dancer (age, height, hours danced per week), and could also include the dancer's injury history. The more qualitative side could include optional interviews/written sections to cover individual experiences and recommendations. By conducting these surveys and interviews, the research would identify patterns and correlation through quantitative analysis, while the qualitative data would offer a nuanced understanding of individual experiences and cultural factors.
