Abstract or project description

Janae wishes to build up her programming and statistical skills and then wishes to apply these to map crime across a region in the US. Part of the project will look at various crime hotspots in the region along with time trends for the same. Beyond this, she also wishes to understand if there are predictors of crime in specific regions. This will likely come from a binary logistic regression and census data. The project will involve PD data and then focusing on a specific region/ subset of precincts within a state depending on the size of the data that her computer can handle.
