Immunotherapies and combinatorial therapies for treating Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL)
Started May 10, 2023
Abstract or project description
The topic of the paper will be to compare different therapies used to treat ALL, focusing on how the therapies work in the body and their current availability and cost. Isabella will research CAR-T therapy, immune checkpoint therapies, chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants as treatments for ALL. She will then compare how these therapies work and what future research needs to be done to better the field. It will be important to convey and have a detailed understanding of how the immune system is involved in all of these treatments. Accessibility to these treatments will also be studied because genetic treatments are expensive and usually only available to a limited number of patients.
