Abstract or project description

This research paper and policy brief aims to thoroughly investigate the involvement of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Since Ukraine’s official request to join the organization, much debate has occurred regarding NATO's role in the conflict. While the organization has been involved in the conflict it continues to consider Ukraine as one of its partner countries, not members. As a result, some have criticized NATO for not doing enough to address the conflict from the beginning. This paper seeks to examine these criticisms and propose a balanced approach to the War in Ukraine and NATO's involvement.
