How Metallicity Effects Star Formation

Started June 13, 2024

Abstract or project description

This paper explores the process of star formation and the impact of metallicity on stars within the interstellar medium. Understanding star formation is important because it shows how interstellar clouds become stars and planetary systems, helping us understand planetary evolution. The paper will explore how molecular clouds collapse, fragment, and form protostars, eventually leading to the birth of stars. Metallicity plays a significant role, specifically in elements heavier than helium, in these stellar processes. As metallicity in stars increases, it predicts the formation of more low-mass stars, which impacts the future structure and evolution of planetary systems and galaxies. This research provides insights into how metallicity shapes star and planetary evolution
