How to recover the ages of globular clusters through analyzing the spectra and luminosity of star clusters and isochrone fitting.

Abstract or project description

Recovering globular cluster ages by analyzing the luminosity and color of multiple clusters plotted on a Hertzsprung–Russell diagram and isochrone fitting to find the best fit. We will be using Anaconda and Jupyter Notebook in order to plot isochrones and then use data from Gaia in order to plot the actual data of a globular cluster and compare the data to theoretical depictions of clusters in order to get an accurate estimate of the age of the cluster. Learning how to extract data from large datasets and plot them using python and anaconda will be essential to accurately recover the ages of the clusters.
