Design of a physical therapy robot for lower leg recovery

Abstract or project description
Currently, some physical therapy requires assistance from another person to assist in exercises that rehabilitate patients with leg injuries (sprains, fractures, etc.). However, a robot can be used for the same job to help strengthen muscles that have weakened due to injury. It can be used in a home setting, and does not require another person’s assistance to use. The amount of resistance the robot provides can be adjusted by the patient [tentative].
