Abstract or project description

Road accidents are something every car driver sees around pretty often. Around 42,000 people died in 2022 due to motor vehicle crashes. It would not be surprising to know that most of these accidents happen due to human error. Using driving assistance technology can reduce those numbers significantly and make the road a safer place to be at. Through this research paper, we try to understand how these technologies work and which technology is the most efficient at reducing collisions between cars and outside objects. We have used Arduino models made into cars and a variety of detection technology to see results on how fast a car can react to the object that it is encountering. We also used research from other sources to compare their results to ours and see if the results were comparable to each other. The Arduino models might not be an actual car and we have not tested it on actual roads, but they do show how fast the technology we are using works and the results show the relation between driving speed and reliability of the technology. Through these demonstrations, we are trying to find which technology works the best for road safety and helps all people on the street.
