Factors contributing to higher risks of women’s reproductive diseases
Started Nov. 14, 2024
Abstract or project description
In this paper we investigate the various factors that contribute to women’s reproductive diseases. Factors such as genetic, environmental, and lifestyle contribute to numerous reproductive diseases. This paper finds that epigenetic factors such as environmental and lifestyle factors have greater impact on reproductive outcomes rather than genetics. It emphasizes the significance of a healthy diet in order to improve hormonal imbalance and potentially prevent reproductive disease. It also highlights the challenges social disparities cause in limited healthcare access and racial bias, worsening reproductive health outcomes. A key motivation of this paper comes from my own struggles with my health and a lack of answers when it comes to the causes of different health problems women face. By exploring the factors that contribute to higher risks of women's health diseases, I hope to educate readers and provide suggestions to bring attention to the need for more research into the genetic causes of these conditions, better personalized treatments, and overall healthcare improvement for women to help reduce the prevalence of these diseases.
