How can neutron stars be analyzed with machine learning?

Started June 20, 2024

Abstract or project description

This project aims to analyze the phenomena of neutron stars using machine learning. Neutron stars are formed upon the death of a massive star. The star collapses in on itself and goes off in an explosion known as a supernova. Stars with 1-3 solar masses of mass form neutron stars as protons and electrons are crushed to form neutrons. There are two types of neutron stars known as pulsars and magnetars, both of which emit magnetic fields and levels of radiation. Using machine learning, this project aims to analyze the data of this radiation and the magentic fields emitted by neutron stars.
