Summary
Social media has become a crucial part in the lives of adolescents. This project examines how social media has affected adolescence in the behavioural, cognitive, social and neurobiological aspects of their lives. Through a comprehensive review of the existing literature and empirical research the project explores how social media usage shapes behaviours, affects cognitive processes, alters social interactions, and influences neurobiological development during this critical stage of life. The findings aim to provide an increased understanding of the positive and negative consequences of social media use while also emphasizing the complexity of social media's impact on adolescents and the need for further research in this area.

Project review
“I had a great experience working on my project. At first, the idea of writing a formal research paper was intimidating since it was something I had never done before. However, with the guidance and support of my mentor, I was able to approach the task in a manageable and organized way. I'm very satisfied with the final outcome and now feel confident in my ability to share it.”
