Bio
My interests are in women's health, global health, mental illness and first psychosis episodes, social determinants of health, health equity, and outcomes of first-generation students in graduate school. In my free time, I like to spend time with family and friends in the great outdoors or trying new foods. Otherwise, you can find me at home with my cat and a good book or curled up with some coffee and the newest Netflix craze.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Differential outcomes of first psychosis based on income levels
This would be a retrospective study examining the outcomes of first psychosis episodes based on income levels of the patients. My hypothesis is that due to both better resources (income, health insurance, better familial and social supports, etc.) of higher income patients, their first psychotic episodes would lead to better resolution and better life outcomes than patients from lower socioeconomic statuses.
