Bio
Hi, my name is Darwin and I am a first-year MBA student at the NYU Stern school of business. I am studying Quantitative Finance and Real Estate with a goal of making a career pivot into investment banking. Previously, I've worked a few roles in Operations and Analytics after finishing my undergrad degree at Tufts University in Economics and Philosophy. While currently living in NYC, I spent the last 10 years in Boston and grew up in Houston. Outside of work and school, I enjoy staying active and am always game for a puzzle or competitive board game. My other interests include sports, cooking and keeping up with the latest happenings in finance.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Predicting the use of Cryptocurrencies by AI Agents
In this project, we will utilize technological adoption curves to independently analyze the current and future state of AI, and in particular, its financial applications. Secondly, this analysis will be repeated for cryptocurrency use, notably Bitcoin, as the first and largest of the kind, to make a case that AI models will be keen to utilize a digital, internet-native currency for optimizing their bandwidth and execution. Outcomes will include a short research paper detailing the timeline in which this idea would come to fruition, alongside valuations for AI tools and Bitcoin over the coming decade.
