Bio
Hi, my name is Hannah, and I am a fourth-year PhD student studying public health! My research focuses on qualitative approaches, including in-depth interviewing and ethnography. Most of my work centers on the lived experience of individuals with mental health conditions. My background is in global health and psychology, and I have done research on diverse topics like dengue fever, climate change, and health beliefs. When I'm not focusing on my research, I enjoy spending time with my two rowdy dogs. You'll likely see them popping on and off camera during our meetings. I also really enjoy working with students. I value flexibility and can adapt to your preferred style of mentoring. This is YOUR project, and I want to support you in the best way possible.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Stigma Towards People with Mental Health Conditions
In this project, we could easily adapt existing stigma scales and ask community members to participate. This project would help us gauge what kinds of stigma towards mental health conditions exist in a particular community.
Teaching experience
I currently work with aspiring citizen scientists in the MENA region that are interested in studying mental health and resilience. I also have formal training in both pedagogy and andragogy. My teaching style is flexible and adaptive to students with different learning styles and preferences.Credentials
