Bio
I was born an raised in sunny San Diego, CA and I recently graduated from UCSD with a BA in Psychology and a BA in Sociology of Science and Medicine. I am currently applying to graduate programs in Human Centered Design and Engineering. My current interests include healthcare disparities, mental health research, and the multiracial experience in America. I love learning and consider myself a lifelong student. When I am not falling down the research rabbit hole, I enjoy spending my time drawing, cooking, or bingeing Netflix.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Research Project
Mentorship covers the entire project including finding and accessing articles, assessing the literature, synthesizing, and presenting. This project is flexible to accommodate various formats including but not limited to: papers, posters, abstracts, and PowerPoint presentations.
Teaching experience
I work for an NIH funded summer program designed to engage students in cancer disparities research. During this program I mentor students, assisting them in writing research abstracts and posters to submit to the International Cancer Education Conference (ICEC) and produce podium presentations for the UCSD Summer Research Conference.Credentials
