Bio
I am a Clinical Psychologist and current Clinical Research Fellow at Boston University. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2024. I completed my predoctoral clinical internship (akin to residency) at the VA Boston Healthcare System, where I treated Veterans with PTSD. My research and clinical interests center on the health-related consequences of trauma exposure and related mental health conditions (e.g., depression, anxiety, and PTSD). On a personal note, I am a parent to a sweet rescue dog (June), who I adopted in February 2020. We love adventuring together on hiking trails in Southern California and New England! In my spare time, I also enjoy playing tennis and pickle ball, biking, and spending time outdoors.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Literature review of treatments for PTSD
Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can onset after trauma exposure. Several evidence-based psychotherapies have been developed to treat PTSD, and some of these interventions have been shown to be more effective than others. In this project, you will learn how to critically review the existing scientific literature on existing psychotherapies for PTSD. The potential end product will be an integrative paper, led by you, that summarizes the current state of PTSD interventions.
