Bio

I am a medical student enrolled at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, having previously pursued my undergraduate studies at Emory University, where I studied Biology and Anthropology. My academic passions center on learning how clinical research can be used to improve patient care. I am actively involved in clinical research within thoracic and vascular surgery. I have also garnered considerable experience in basic science research within cardiovascular medicine and have had the privilege of authoring multiple academic publications, posters, and abstracts. Outside of research and medicine, I am an avid New York sports fan and enjoy playing basketball and going on long runs. In my downtime, I enjoy keeping up with sports and trying new places to eat in New York City.

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Review Article: Exercise Training and Peripheral Arterial Disease

It is generally known that exercise can improve symptoms of peripheral arterial disease (PAD). This project can investigate the existing data and analyze how exercise has been linked to treating patients with PAD, and can seek to determine if a threshold for exercise is associated with improving symptoms of PAD. This can be presented in the form of an essay, scientific research paper, poster, or abstract. Additionally, analogous projects can be created with ideas similar to this one (ie looking at the impacts of exercise on stress, grades, other diseases, etc.).

Teaching experience

I have an established history of teaching high school and college students. In college, I served as a teaching assistant for human physiology, showcasing my proficiency in the subject and my capacity to guide fellow students. Additonally, I mentored high school students in health sciences and provided guidance for their college applications, underlining my dedication to supporting their academic and personal growth. Furthermore, my extensive tutoring experience spans subjects such as AP Chemistry, Biology, Algebra, Geometry, SAT, and ACT, demonstrating my versatility and commitment to helping students succeed across a wide range of academic areas.
