Bio
I am a 3rd Year Medical Student at the Medical College of Wisconsin ,pursuing a future career in Orthopaedic Surgery. I am passionate about all aspects of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports medicine. I have also come to marry this passion with my passion for DEI and mentorship, to improve healthcare outcomes and fight healthcare disparities. Personally, I am a retired division I football player who enjoys reading, music, fitness, and sports. I enjoy my new career as an intramural basketball champion. I enjoy listening to new music and being social with friends and family. I have a hidden passion for cooking and creating new recipes that only exist once.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Ways to Improve Current Postoperative Pain Control Practices In Orthopaedics
The project could be a research paper, living document, or website explaining the various pain control practices and guidelines in Orthopaedic surgery. This research could build upon the field's current effort to improve and move away from heavy narcotic use, and to instead introduce ways to reduce Opioid consumption after surgery in order to and reduce abuse of narcotics.
