Why is there a nursing shortage?
Much of my expertise is around policy research, creation, and implementation. With the Covid-10 pandemic after waves still felt in this country, we have seen an uptick in nursing shortage and retention. I would help guide my student into looking at standing policies for nursing education, pay, and health administration where we can make recommendations. Recommendations can revolve around how polices can be implemented to keep nurses satisfied in their workplace, and in turn have better patient outcomes. The student can shape this project to be an essay or policy brief. I will help the student by implementing what I have learned through my time in legislation as well as find ways to research policy and law.
