Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Research-creation

Research-creation: Do you like to compose music based on a concept, book, movie, or a subject of your interest? I can help you come up with a research plan, map out a structure for your music, compose, record, mix, and master it. Along the way, I can help you come up with a memorable melody, interesting harmony, and compelling instrumental arrangement. If you are interested in electroacoustic music, we will work on finding, recording, processing, manipulating, and layering sounds to create an interesting sonic world. Whatever approach you choose, we will use notation software, digital audio workstation, sound libraries, acoustic and virtual instruments to realize your music. Image from Pexels

Community engaged music activity

Community engaged music activity: Have you ever dreamed of putting a concert for your community, school, or family gathering? I can help you come up with an interesting idea, plan a concert, write a proposal letter to potential sponsors, network and find collaborators, create a band, arrange and oversee rehearsals, and put a wonderful show together! Create a podcast

Create a podcast: Are you interested in creating a podcast on the subject of your choice? I can help you research and gather information, write scripts, find potential individuals for an interview, use recording devices and editing software to record and edit your audio files and finally share your final product on various distribution platforms.
