Bio
Hi! I am from South Carolina and I completed my bachelor's degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science at the University of South Carolina Beaufort. I recently graduated from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with my masters degree in Epidemiology with a focus in Infectious Disease. I am now working towards my second MS degree in Biostatistics at Boston University. My previous research areas have been on mathematical modeling of disease dynamics and I am also interested in modeling global infectious diseases that primarily affect vulnerable populations. I'm looking forward to working with you and hearing your wonderful ideas!Project ideas
Game Time!
Through Greenfoot, create a game with a topic and theme of your choice that conveys a story that can be used to educate others. Some previous coding experience is preferred but it does not to have to be with Greenfoot specifically. We will be able to publish the game on Greenfoot upon project completion.
The World Of Mathematics
The history of mathematics can date all the way back into the very first civilizations and followed throughout history all over the globe. This development leads us into our way of living and thinking today. Rarely taught in math courses, the origins of math can provide clear insight into the necessities of learning math and the broad applications that math has in the world. This project will include conducting research on a chosen time period, location, or figure in mathematics and describing the impacts that this had on the development of math as we know it while also focusing on the importance of learning it today.
