Bio
Alex Raghunandan is a current first year medical student at Weill Cornell Medical College in Manhattan. He is originally from New Jersey, but moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA before transferring to Duke University as a sophomore. He graduated with a bachelors in science in Neuroscience and French. He has been mentoring students since he started attending Duke in 2018. Outside of class, he enjoys exploring new cities and finding new places to eat and have coffee.Project ideas

COVID-19 and Social Demographics
This would be a systematic literature review of all the current and past studies done on COVID-19 prevalence in the US is potentially associated with social demographics, like race and socioeconomic status. Students will understand how COVID has been studied over the last two years through reading published scientific articles and watching lectures by esteemed medical professionals. They will apply and synthesize this information to write a scientific review on how COVID-19 contraction and treatment is influenced by factors like gender, race, and socioeconomic status.
