Bio

I am a manager of software engineering at LinkedIn, formerly a technical lead for several iOS products at LinkedIn. I am classically trained across all disciplines of computer science, but I really enjoy mobile design and development, so after school, I specialized in iOS apps. I've been at LinkedIn since graduating and I've moved up from an entry level Software Engineer, to Senior Software Engineer, to Staff Software Engineer, and most recently over to a Manager of Software Engineering. Outside of work I love to play sports. You'll find me playing volleyball, golf, basketball, tennis, or simply on a run.

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Calculator App

Build a simple app that functions as a calculator, allowing you to do simple operations such as addition and subtraction. We can add onto that and add in other operations like multiplication and division, or even modular arithmetic.

Task app

Build an app that acts as a checklist of things that you need to get done. Basic functionality would include being able to view your checklist, adding to the checklist, removing from the checklist. Advanced features would be adding in push notifications when things are due.
