Bio
I am a Clinical Psychology PhD student at University of Southern California. My primary research interests are in the long term mental health outcomes among individuals with histories of childhood maltreatment and early life adversity. My clinical work (i.e., therapy and neuropsychological assessment) also focuses on youth, families, and couples with past or present traumatic experiences. I am very passionate about issues/topics relevant to LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults. My hobbies include hot yoga, rock climbing, backpacking/hiking, reading for pleasure, and international travel (when safe!).Project ideas
Associations between Childhood Emotional Abuse and Young Adult LGBTQIA+ Couples' Communication
This project idea is for a review of the existing psychology research literature on the impacts that experiences of childhood emotional abuse (e.g., exposure to negativity and hostility, domestic violence, inappropriate expectations) has on the ways that young adult LGBTQIA+ romantic partners communicate with each other. The process for the literature review would involve searching for relevant research articles in an online database, systematically reading and categorizing articles by topic and findings, and organizing a comprehensive writing piece about the scope of scientific understanding of these associations.
