Bio
My name is Ben Isenberg, and I am a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology at UCLA. My academic and professional interests center around promoting mental health equity for youth from all backgrounds. My research focuses on more effectively disseminating knowledge gained from research on what treatments work for whom to community clinicians working with children from marginalized communities. Outside of school I love to follow sports and go to as many games as possible. I also hike and play tennis when I can. I am a huge foodie and enjoy exploring new restaurants, cooking, and drinking as much coffee as possible!Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Factors influencing youth perceptions of mental health care
A survey study asking individuals to rate their perceptions and attitudes towards mental illness and mental health care, examining what factors (ex., gender, race/ethnicity, SES, location, sexual orientation) are associated with more positive and negative perceptions around mental wellbeing.
