Bio

I have published research on electronic commerce, voting systems, and database systems. I published a textbook on introductory computer programming using Pascal. I am the primary inventor on a patent on a not spam registry along with 4 UCSC students (3 undergraduate and 1 masters students) and Matthew Prince, then CEO of Unspam, now CEO of Cloudflare. I serve as expert witness on patent infringement lawsuits as well as advise startups. I have testified 6 times at trial and once in front of a judge on claim construction and at depositions.
