Bio

I a PhD student in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. My primary interest is in Machine Learning algorithms and Deep Learning. I have graduate degrees in Civil Engineering focusing on the area of Structural Engineering and in Computer Science focusing on Artificial Intelligence. I love to do digital sketches and artworks which I mostly do on my ipad along with my coding projects.

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Person Localization

Localization is the problem of locating the source / object in a given scene and then demarcate it. It is a fundamental task in Computer Vision and used in many technologies like self-driving cars. In this problem we aim to localize a speaker and track them in a given video and draw a box around that person for the duration that person speaks.

Teaching experience

I have worked as Graduate Teaching Assistant while pursuing my graduate degree at University of Illinois. I was working alongside other TAs and the professors in facilitating teaching several courses from undergraduate level to graduate level as well for working professionals in Tech industry. Most of these courses involved intense use of Linear Algebra, Statistics and Computer Programming.
