Bio
My name is Mai Nguyen and I am an optometry doctoral student at the University of California, Berkeley. I have also been working as an optician for more than 6 years. This experience has helped me to realize how optometrists could be gatekeepers of the overall health and well-being of their patients, and thus, I became even more inspired to pursue optometry as a career. I enjoy seeing my patients, especially those that are still going to school because it provides me with the opportunities to guide them. During my free time, I love to spend time with my family and my two fur-babies. I enjoy watching Chinese dramas, playing video games, and trying new food.Project ideas
