Bio
I'm an MD-PhD student at Northwestern University pursuing a course of study in biomedical engineering. My interest is in the design and fabrication of biomaterials and drug delivery systems that permit precise modulation and measurement of biological systems. I'm excited by the intersection of applied chemistry/physics and biological phenomena. I see this field as a powerful platform for creating novel therapeutics, diagnostic tools, and life improving devices for patients around the globe. I love learning how things work and drawing connections between things. I'm a brass musician and love playing my trumpet in church on Sundays. I believe I have a responsibility to serve others and I desire to use my work and career to create opportunities for others and to increase access to critical resources in underprivileged communities.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Advanced Drug Technologies
Explore state of the art drug platforms and their potential to revolutionize the way patients are treated for cancer, heart diseases, infections, autoimmunity, and more.
Disease Investigation
Study important trends and characteristics of a disease of your choice. We can: do a review article on novel treatments; an epidemiological study on disease trends, spread, and effects in various populations; evaluate theories for the mechanism of a disease; and more. We will go as in depth or broad as you want into the disease/condition of your choice!
Coding skills
Matlab, R studioTeaching experience
I was a tutor for a year in high school. I was a TA for Sophomore/Junior physics in undergrad. I have informally worked with a number of high school students through my church to assist them in preparing their college applications over the past three years.Credentials
