Bio
I am a cancer biologist who is passionate about identifying biomarkers and discovering therapeutics for advanced cancers. I am very interested in learning more about data science and machine learning and applying them to cancer data-sets to get meaningful insights. I am currently learning to and enjoying riding bicycles. I love to read non-fiction and I like to bake. I also like to watch people stream video games (like valorant) on YouTube.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Potential applications and Implications of CRISPR gene editing in cancer.
CRISPR Cas9 is a simple, yet revolutionary gene editing tool with many potential applications, including disease detection and treatment. Over 10 sessions, we will write a review article that focuses on potential applications of CRISPR in the oncology space. To do this, we will peruse clinical trial data to find those that involve use of CRISPR as diagnostic or treatment modality for cancer related indications. We will summarize this information and discuss the implications of a successful clinical trial, for the indications we discovered.
