Bio
Hi, I'm Tammy! I'm a first year graduate student pursuing a Ph.D in biology at Harvard University. I am currently rotating in different labs across fascinating and diverse fields at Harvard in my search for a forever graduate lab. Included in my search are labs that study virology, stem cell biology, regeneration and neuroscience, so you can see that my interests are broad and curiosity pretty unlimited! Previously, I studied mostly the immune system and host-pathogen interactions and virology during my undergraduate and master's degrees, including SARS-CoV2 research. I'm excited to share my passion for STEM education and research and would love to meet like minded mentees who want to harness their curiosity, sharpen their minds and ask interesting and difficult questions!Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
RNA world: from viruses to vaccines
2020 is the year when the words RNA and RNA virus and RNA vaccine became household utterances. But what really is RNA and why does it make us sick and why and how is it in vaccines?
