Bio
I’m a finance professional and hold an MBA from Cornell University, where I focused on investment research and asset management. During my time there, I worked with the Cayuga Fund and mentored students in accounting, equity research, and financial modeling. I enjoy helping students break down complex ideas and connect numbers to real-world insights in a way that feels both accessible and engaging. Outside of work, I enjoy singing, baking, and taking long walks to recharge and reflect. I’m also passionate about language learning—I’m fluent in Mandarin and English, conversational in Japanese, and recently started learning Korean. As a mentor, I strive to create a thoughtful, supportive space where students can explore their interests and grow with confidence.Project ideas
Can Companies Be Both Profitable and Ethical? A Case Study Approach to ESG Investing
In this project, students will explore the growing field of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) investing and evaluate whether companies that score highly on ESG criteria perform as well financially as their peers. The project will involve selecting a few public companies, gathering financial and ESG-related data, and analyzing trends in their stock performance, profitability, and reputation. Students will learn how to read financial statements, use basic metrics like profit margins or return on equity, and understand non-financial indicators such as sustainability efforts or labor practices. The final deliverable could be a written report or presentation highlighting the trade-offs, insights, and student’s own perspective on whether ethical business practices support or hinder financial success.
