I am pursuing an MBA to transition from the operations side of a large corporation to marketing or strategy within a large organization. I have a range of academic interests that I'd love to mentor students on, such as engineering, film production & different business functions. I love to travel (I have been doing a bunch of solo travel recently). I also enjoy karaoke and spending time with friends. I just moved and I'm looking forward to enjoying what New York City has to offer. It's an exciting time for me and I'd love to share my experiences to help students.Project ideas
The Impact of AI in the film industry
Last year, there were writers' and actors' strikes. These happened for many reasons but a key reason was concern over the use of AI in the filmmaking process. Write a research paper or presentation highlighting the current uses of AI in filmmaking, advantages and disadvantages, how it impacts creatives (either negatively or positively) and what could be done to mitigate the concerns that filmmakers have over the use of AI in the film industry. Do you believe AI should be widely used across the film industry? Through this project, the student can gain an understanding about ranges of business concerns for a specific industry. Additionally, it will give some insight into the sometimes romanticized life of being 'a struggling artist'.
