Ian Fisher

Ian Fisher is a college admissions expert at Bright Horizons College Coach with fifteen years of professional experience in higher education. Ian discovered his passion for admissions work while still an undergraduate philosophy major, reading applications and interviewing students during his senior year at Reed. As an Assistant Dean of Admission, he recruited students from across the United States and Asia, reviewing essays and conducting interviews.

Ian’s diverse educational experience has helped him successfully guide students of all interests as an expert at College Coach, from those looking at large state schools, to others interested in small liberal arts colleges and the most highly selective schools.

Ian holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Reed College and a master’s degree in policy, organization, and leadership studies from Stanford University. He is a father, a Little League coach, a writer, and a coffee addict who makes his home in Portland, Oregon.
